Each print is produced using a digital Gicleé process and is printed on heavy Hahnemühle Fine Art paper. The inks and paper used have excellent archival properties.
Each print states whether it is part of a Limited Edition or an Open Edition.
Limited Edition prints will be signed and numbered by the artist. Open Edition prints will be signed by the artist.
Prints will be sent without a mount or frame, but will be packed between acid-free boards for protection, and then wrapped. No mount or frame is provided so that you can choose your own style and colour for these.
Some prints are available in a range of sizes, if you would like other sizes please contact Karen for a quote.
Gicleé – simply described
Gicleé is a term generally used to describe a high quality fine art digital print of an artwork, typically printed using an inkjet printer.
Each original piece of artwork is scanned using a very high resolution image scanner, stored and then reproduced by a digital process. Gicleé prints do not use plates like the traditional lithographic printing process, instead nozzles spray vast numbers of pigmented ink particles per second onto specially coated paper.
These prints on quality archival papers use specialised inks, have remarkable colour saturation and continuous tone characteristics one would expect from an original. In fact distinguishing a print from the original can be very difficult.
